William M.Frank, the founder of North Coast Scientific, also founded the Scientific Instrument Repair Center (SIRC) at Case Western Reserve University. He is single-handedly responsible for directing SIRC's evolution toward the highly respected biomedical repair service that it is today. 

Bill was a recipient of the Case Western Reserve University "President’s Distinguished Service Award" in 1996 and the "Sustainability Award" in 2018. He has provided a full array of laboratory equipment repair and technical services at Case Western Reserve University since 1984.

Bill has been professionally trained by a number of scientific instrument manufacturers including Thermo Fisher, Sheldon Manufacturing, Sorvall, Bruker AXS, LKB, Barnstead International, Beckman Instruments, and Rigaku.  He has over 30 years of experience in scientific equipment diagnostics and repair. Repair, calibration and technical services are provided on everything from X-ray crystallography equipment to common benchtop equipment.

 
North Coast Scientific, LLC. was established to provide laboratory equipment repair and technical services to northern Ohio colleges and universities, research institutes, biotech companies, and industry laboratories.
